Partner with TechGuides

We partner with community organizations that already have the trust of the people we want to reach.

How it works

TechGuides partners with organizations that serve seniors and families. We bring the content and facilitators. You bring the space and the people. Together, we run digital literacy workshops that are practical, local, and easy for beginners to follow.

Our workshops are free for participants. We handle all preparation and materials, including reference cards. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes and work in community rooms, classrooms, worship spaces, or anywhere a group can gather comfortably. Topics can include scam prevention, AI literacy, online privacy, and digital safety.

We're looking for organizations in Thorncliffe Park, Don Mills, and surrounding neighbourhoods. If your community could benefit from free digital safety workshops, we'd like to hear from you.

Where we've been

We've run pilot workshops with three organizations so far:

TNO (The Neighbourhood Organization)

TNO serves residents in Thorncliffe Park. We ran sessions with parents covering scam recognition, online privacy, and digital basics.

Chapel in the Park United Church

Chapel in the Park hosts programming for older adults in Thorncliffe Park. We ran digital safety and AI literacy sessions with a group of seniors.

St. Bonaventure Parish

St. Bonaventure Parish on Leslie St. in Toronto hosts an active seniors community. We ran a session on AI and online safety for around 50 seniors, covering how to recognize AI-driven scams and protect themselves online.

These are pilot partnerships. We're learning from each session and improving as we go.
